During Style Consapevole, the Milan event of 20 March, in which precious experiences and salient testimonies from the world of sustainable fashion were concentrated, Quagga presented to the public its Fall Winter 2019/19 collection and its new crowdfunding campaign on Ulule .
Quagga, the emblematic brand of ethical and ecological fashion wants to involve its public to take the next step: Forts of the great success of the summer campaign, and thanks to the support of many fans, we managed to create a new fabric soft to the touch, extremely comfortable similar to boiled wool or other supports of animal origin, but 100% recycled polyester fiber: more versatile, it allowed us to think about new models and expand the catalog enriching it with jackets with a more classic cut, to meet the numerous requests in that sense. We want our customers to help us launch the production of the New Fall / Winter Collection 2108/19, which includes the Ecosoft line and the improved models of our best sellers.
Ecosoft is a line that in addition to new models with a more classic style, boasts a different fabric coming from a certified yarn. This new fabric was created thanks to the support of an important partner such as Tessiture Taborelli. The yarn they used, Newlife, has allowed us to increase the quality of our jackets and above all to focus on environmental sustainability. The Newlife yarn, which is an original Sinterama patent, is created from recycled PET bottles, coming from northern Italy and boasts important international environmental certifications (Oekotex and Global Recycle Standard). Newlife and therefore the Ecosoft fabric stands as a yarn with absolutely the lowest environmental impact, mechanically recycled PET is in fact in first place in the classification of low impact yarns, as certified by MadeBy.
This step forward that concerns both style and attention to sustainability, walks in parallel to the Animal Free certification of which Quagga boasts the highest rating VVV +. Quagga jackets do not have components of animal origin, avoiding useless and cruel sufferings to unarmed animals. The Animal Free certification has spread quickly between well-known brands and small brands. This makes Quagga suitable for those who choose a Vegan and Cruelty Free lifestyle.
For Quagga, an ethical supply chain is also a fair and Made in Italy chain. Our jackets will continue to favor a controlled Italian production in which all the sartorial workers and the involved subjects receive the right compensation, enjoy security, are not discriminated and exploited at the workplace.
